Warclouds 2007 Fantasy

Eight teams were entered in the fantasy comp this year, including Greenskins, Vampire Counts/Tzeentch Chaos, Chaos, Wood Elves/Tomb Kings, Rat Ogre Kingdoms/Greenskins, Empire, Dwarves/High Elves and last but not least, more Empire.

The first day saw the Greenskins, Tzeentch/VC and Woodies/TK clawing their way upwards with several other teams putting in a solid showing. Day two saw the steady surge of the High Elves/Dwarves up the points table which would eventually see them claiming third place.

Day two also witnessed the glorious crushing of a mortar emplacement by a rather expensive Empire cavalry unit (which promptly got charged and destroyed by a flagellent unit).

The Greenskins’ Giant managed to inflict failed Terror tests on two Chaos Marauder units helping to secure a (somewhat fortunate) second place for the Greenskins combo, while the VC/Tzeentch team of Mike and Al took out the first place prize.

The Rat Ogre Kingdoms/Greenskins combo of Kelly Cattermole and Chris Evan won a much deserved best sportsmanship prize.
